How To Change Your Password

1. Access the MyPassword page: Go to the password reset portal

2. You can modify Enter your password in two ways:

   1. Password Change: You will need to know your current password in order to use this option. 

   2. Password Reset: If you do not know your old password, you can use the Self-Service Password Reset portal.

1. username in this format: username@unwsp.edu (ex: abjohnson@unwsp.edu), then click “Next.”

2. You will then be prompted to enter the security code that was sent via text to your cell phone number on file. 

   1. See Requirements above if you do not get a text with a 6 digit security code
      

3. After entering your security code, you will be directed to this screen to choose a new password

   1. If you did not receive a security code and did not receive and error code, the code might have been sent to a different cell phone on file. Please contact the IT Service Desk at 651-631-5699 to have your password reset. 

   2. If you received an error code or a message saying that there is no phone number on file, please contact the IT Service Desk at 651-631-5699 to have your password reset. 
      

4. You should then see a screen indicating that the reset was successful. If you run into any issues please call the IT Service Desk at 651-631-5699.

Note

For a password reset, your cell phone number must be accurate. If your cell phone number is inaccurate or missing, update your personal information here.
