Title IX |
What should I know about Title IX at NorthwesternUNWSP?
Welcome to Northwestern! Student safety is a high priority at UNWUNWSP. For this reason, students should become familiar with the Sexual Misconduct Policy. The Sexual Misconduct/Title IX training video, available on students’ Moodle page, shares in Moodle shares important information about where the this policy can be found, definitions of defines conduct that violates the policy and/or the law, how and to whom , gives details on how to report an incident, and provides an outline of Northwestern’s response and the complaint process when someone reports to the University.
All students in their first year at Northwestern and who are attending classes on the physical grounds of the campus in Roseville and/or Sioux Falls are required to watch the Title IX training video within the first 10 days of the start of the academic school year. The deadline for students starting school on August 28, 2019 is September 6, 2019. If a student attends or attended the Title IX training session during new student orientation held in August 2019, the student does not need to view the video posted on Moodle.
The deadline for students in the Adult Undergraduate or Graduate Studies programs will vary depending upon a student’s first day of classes but should be completed within the first 10 days of the start of school.
Students who are returning to Northwestern or for students who attend online classes only are strongly encouraged to watch the video but it is not a requirement.
If you have any technical issues while watching the video or have questions or concerns about this policy and/or the training video, please contact me as soon as possible.
I pray that you have a safe year and that God moves in your life blessing you intellectually, personally, and spiritually.
Sincerely,
Kelly Franck
HR Business Partner and Title IX Coordinator
