We do intend to use it – at least for research projects. It was just renewed within the month. It may have primarily been installed along the row used for longer simulations, but I’m not sure.

On Client:

Click on the download link at the bottom and download the three ANSYS iso files to your computer.
1. Right click and open as a new tab so you still have access to these instructions
Launch the first file and follow the prompts
Navigate to C: > Program Files > ANSYS Inc > Shared Files > Licensing
Open ansyslmd
Change text to read:

Past issues: software uses dynamic ports in firewall - check for FW ports being blocked if client software doesn't connect to license server
