titleAdding/Dropping a Course - Student
  • Registration for semester-length courses should be completed by the end of the first week of the semester.  However, students may add a semester-length course through the end of week two of the semester if they obtain the signature of the instructor of the course.
  • Registration for Quad 1 and Quad 3 courses should be completed by the end of the third calendar prior to the fourth class day of the semester.  However, students may add a Quad 1 or Quad 3 course through the end of the sixth calendar prior to the seventh class day of the semester if they obtain the signature of the instructor of the course.
  • Registration for Quad 2 and Quad 4 courses should be completed by the end of the third calendar prior to the fourth class day of Quad 2 and Quad 4 respectively.  However, students may add a Quad 2 or Quad 4 course through the end of the sixth calendar prior to the seventh class day of Quad 2 or Quad 4 if they obtain the signature of the instructor of the course.
  • Students must add directed studies, internships, co-curricular activities, mission experience, workshops, or tutorials by the same date Quad 2 or Quad 4 courses can be added.  However, if these are the only courses the student is taking for the term, they must be added by the end of week one of the semester.
  • Students adding courses less than a quad in length will be permitted to add the course for a proportional length of time.
  • Students are strongly encouraged, though not required, to obtain their advisor’s approval if desiring to make class schedule changes while the student still has access to be able to change his/her own schedule.
  • After online changes are no longer available and while within the deadlines listed above, if students want to add a course, they must obtain the signature of the instructor of the course before class schedule changes will be made through the Registrar's Office.
