- A transcript is official only if printed on SCRIP-SAFE paper displaying the Registrar's signature and the University seal or sent electronically via secure PDF.
- With appropriate permission for release (written permission from the student), official transcripts can be issued (1) directly to another institution, agency or company, or (2) to the student.
- Transcript services are free to currently-enrolled students (including students who have left Northwestern but still have access to the student portal (currently, theROCK). Others pay a fee(s) per official transcript depending upon the transcript services requested. Transcript requests should be made at least three days in advance of need.
- The student account must be paid in full before the transcript will be released.
