Using MyPassword to manage your account
Staff: Every staff member of the University of Northwestern is required to change their password every 180 days. An email notification will be sent when your password is going to expire so you can change it before it expires.
Students: We recommend that students change theirs regularly as well.
How to change my password and set up security questions
Right Click on the following link and open link in a new window in your browser to access the MyPassword web page https://mypassword.unwsp.edu.

Information Technology provides self-service option for users to reset their passwords if they are forgotten or need to be changed.

UNW Password Requirements
Your new password:
Must be different from previous passwords.
Must include at least 14 characters.
Must have at least three of these four characteristics:
uppercase
lowercase
number
symbol
Must not contain part of your name, username, or ID number.
