Overview

Commuter students who have class on campus fewer than two days per week may apply for an exemption from the meal plan requirement.  The request must be made within the first two weeks of the semester.

Submitting an Exemption Request

If you meet the above criteria and would like to be exempt from the requirement to have a commuter meal plan, please email jegoedeke@unwsp.edu with your name, ID number, and reason that you would qualify for an exemption. fill out this form:   

Commuter Meal Plan Exemption Request Form

When a determination is made that the request is approved or denied, you will receive an email response.  Requests must be received by Friday, September 109, 2021 2022 for Fall Semester 2021 2022 and by Friday, January 2120, 2021 2023 for Spring Semester 2022.  2023. You must apply for an exemption each semester.

Please note that if a student is exempt from a meal plan spring semester, any unused funds from fall semester will not be available for use.  This carry-over benefit is for students who have a plan both fall and spring semester.
