Information Technology provides self-service tools option for students users to change or reset their passwords if they are forgotten or need to be changed.

For a password reset, your cell phone number must be accurate. If your cell phone number is inaccurate or missing, update your personal information here. |

After resetting your password, you will need to login to apps and websites again. It may take a few minutes before the new password is recognized everywhere.

Password Reset Tools
The tools listed below will both reset your UNW Student account password. The difference is which website is being used.

This method is available for those who have registered security information. If you haven’t yet, check out Getting Started with Microsoft Authenticator or add your personal email at aka.ms/mysecurityinfo. |
Enter your UNW email (username@students.unwsp.edu) and enter the characters shown in the image or words heard in the audio, then click Next.
Complete your security verification method (email, code or push notification). Click Next if needed.
Set your new UNW account password, then click Finish.
