- A transcript is official only if printed on SCRIP-SAFE paper displaying the Registrar's signature and the University seal or sent electronically via secure PDF.
- With appropriate permission for release (written permission from the student), official transcripts can be issued (1) directly to another institution, agency or company, or (2) to the student.
- Transcript services are free to currently-enrolled students (including students who have left Northwestern but still have access to the student portal (currently, theROCK). Others pay a fee(s) per official carry a fee per transcript depending upon the transcript services requested. Transcript requests should be made at least three days in advance of need.The student account must be paid in full before the transcript will be released.
