A visa may not be required depending on the country in which you plan to travel. A visa is an official document issued by a foreign government, which grants permission to enter, study, or live in a particular country. Since these requirements change periodically, you should check with your host country's Embassy in Washington, D.C. or consular offices for the particular requirements. It is your responsibility to complete the visa process in time for your departure.
As soon as you decide to be an International Student Teacher you should apply for a visa. It may take 4-8 weeks to obtain all the proper documentation for a student visa. A passport is required in order to begin this process. Visa fees may vary and can be substantial (i.e., over $200) for entry into some countries. Students are responsible for all visa fees.
