9.2 Professional Ethics
All nursing students are expected to adhere to the principles of the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics with Interpretive Statements. The Code of Ethics communicates a standard of professional behavior expected throughout the total program and in each individual nursing course. Students should familiarize themselves with the Code of Ethics as it represents the commitment of the profession to the service of society. Violation of principles found in the Code of Ethics is grounds for corrective action, including dismissal (Code of Ethics Interpretive Statements).
