Emergency Response Procedures – Faculty & Staff

Current emergency response procedures have been posted on theROCK in three different formats. 

View the University's Emergency Response page below.

  • Choose the Stop. Think. Act. link for a detailed Emergency Procedures guide outlining protocols for a number of possible scenarios.
  • Choose the Emergency Procedures Summary link for a quick reference guide to some possible scenarios that may require emergency response.
  • Choose the one-page summary link for the one-page color-coded poster of Emergency Procedures for the UNW campus.

You are encouraged to read Stop. Think. Act. prior to an emergency to be better prepared in how to respond in a variety of scenarios.  You may also want to save a pdf to your desktop or cell phone for immediate access, if needed.

Northwestern has adopted the Department of Homeland Security's recommended "RUN-HIDE-FIGHT." approach in the event of a dangerous person scenario.
