Minors
- A minor consists of a minimum of 16 semester credits of concentrated study in an area of special interest.
- A minor is not stand-alone and must be completed with a degree program.
- The number of core curriculum credits applied to the minor is not restricted.
- A minimum of 50 percent of the course work in the minor must be completed at University of Northwestern.
- A minimum of 50 percent of the credits in a minor must be unique to that minor when compared to a student’s major(s) or other minor(s). For exceptions, see the Registrar.
- Students who add or change a minor(s) must meet all requirements for the new minor(s) as described in the most recently published Catalog at the time the Curriculum Change Request Form or the Re-enrollment Form is submitted to the Registrar’s Office.
