CLEP (College Level Examination Program)
- College Level Examination Program (CLEP) scores are accepted at University of Northwestern. Specific information, including courses and requirements, may be found on the Northwestern student portal (i.e., theROCK>Academics) and under the Registrar’s Office on the public web site.
- Credits may not be earned through CLEP examinations whose content duplicates credit previously earned.
- The specific courses for which credit will be granted for successful performance on the CLEP will be determined by the faculty of each department/school.
- Departments/schools may require higher scores for credit from students majoring in the area covered by the examination.
- A student may receive a maximum of 32 semester credits by way of CLEP or other standardized examinations.
