Scheduling a Class Zoom Meeting Using Moodle Integration

Overview

This article describes how a teacher in Moodle can schedule Zoom meetings with students. The method has been updated beginning July 27, 2023.

Creating a Link for Scheduled Meetings

To create one or more meetings with students in your class, do the following:

  1. Turn editing on

  2. Click Add an activity or resource and from the Activities tab, choose External tool

  3. Enter an appropriate Activity name such as “Zoom Meetings”

  4. From the Preconfigured tool dropdown, choose Zoom Meeting Integration

  5. Choose Save and display

  6. Click Schedule a New Meeting

    Give your meeting a name and enter the appropriate details. If you wish to reuse this meeting indefinitely, check Recurring meeting and No Fixed Time

    If you are team teaching with others who might need to also host the meeting, add their email address to the Alternative Hosts (with each additional address separated by a comma).



  7. Click Save

  8. You can add as many meetings here as you like.

Course participants can now click on your Zoom meetings link and access the meeting schedule you have created.
