Curricular Structure

The new Curriculum Model assigns 55 credits to the Core Curriculum, 50 credits to the major, and 20 credits for the Enhanced Curriculum. This allows students to build strength into their academic programs by selecting elective credits that support their specific purposes. Some programs that respond to external requirements such as licensing programs include specific courses in the Enhanced Curriculum while other programs recommend students select minors or skill clusters that will contribute to their marketability upon graduation.   Some examples of Enhanced Curriculum choices include adding an additional minor, taking additional credits to earn a second major in Bible, engaging in language study, studying abroad, or simply taking additional courses of interest.
