- University of Northwestern practices a modified open admissions policy, admitting those applicants who give indication that they are suited to life at Northwestern, including the spiritual requirements, personal standards and academic demands.
- The following are criteria for admitting students:
- evidence of a new birth in Jesus Christ,
- willingness to subscribe to University ideals and conduct,
- likelihood of academic success,
- high school diploma or GED,
- financial capability to meet University expenses.
