Jira and Confluence are scheduled to be upgraded on June 10th from 10:00 PM. to 2:00 AM.  The upgrades will take Jira from version 8.11 to 8.16 and Confluence from version 7.4 to 7.12.  A summary of the main changes for each application are included below.

Confluence

No major user interface changes are included with this update but there are some feature improvements that are listed below:

Major feature updates include:

• Upgraded Editor: Improved copy/paste, table navigation, link insertion, etc
• Disabling macros is now possible without removing content
• Faster searches
• Team calendars introduced (not the same as Microsoft Teams)

Jira

No major user interface changes are included with this update but there are some feature improvements that are listed below:

Major feature updates include:

• Security improvements
• Search indexing improvements
• Improved mobile device support
• Image attachments now displayed in email notifications
