Data Backup
Backing up your data
Information Technology strongly recommends that you back up your essential information/data on your computer at least once a week to an external device or online sync service.
The IT Department recommends that all students back up their data regularly using at least two of the following devices/software below.
Microsoft OneDrive
We recommend using OneDrive for backing up your personal files. As OneDrive is synced to the cloud, you will be able to access it anywhere that has an internet connection.
Visit our OneDrive page for more information on how to store your most important files online.
External Hard Drives
External SSD hard drives are also a great choice for backing up all your data due to their large capacity. A 1TB hard drive should be sufficient for most students.
USB Flash Drives
Flash drives are typically smaller backup devices that are typically anywhere from 8GB up to 128GB.
