4.2 Committees of the School of Nursing Requiring Student Representation

Overview

Nursing students are encouraged to serve on selected committees of the School of Nursing. Student representatives will be nominated by their class and/or faculty, and enrolled in terms one/two, or terms three/four. Students are non-voting members and will agree to serve for two (2) consecutive terms. The standing committee within the nursing program where students may serve as cohort representatives are during the monthly Term meetings. Term meetings are a designated time for student representatives from each cohort to address any concerns that arise during the semester. These Term meetings will be held on a monthly basis. Additional meetings may be held as deemed necessary. Refer to Faculty By-laws for details of functions and duties of the standing faculty committees.
