title6.8 Extracurricular Activities, Employment, and Coursework

It is recommended that the student limit extracurricular activities and employment during the student teaching semester in order to give full attention to this experience. The SOE recommends that these commitments be limited to ten hours or less per week, preferably weekends.

Students requesting approval for more than ten hours of combined involvement per week in employment, extra-curricular and additional course work must have approval by the Exceptions Committee before meeting with the ARC. These hours include involvement in music organizations, sports teams and Honors Seminar.
