Teacher Education Handbook

We are honored to be able to welcome you to the School of Education (SOE) at the University of Northwestern. We are committed to the preparation of Christian teachers who are dedicated to excellence and service within their profession.

Preparing to become a teacher is a challenging task and a decision which must be made both carefully and prayerfully. Investing in the lives of children and young adults is an awesome responsibility but the satisfaction and rewards are great. The SOE faculty and staff are pleased that you have chosen to seek a degree in education and are eager to assist you in every way possible.

This handbook is designed to inform you of the expectations, policies and procedures of the SOE and to provide assistance as you complete program requirements. If you have questions about your program or its requirements, please communicate with your academic advisor or the SOE.
