  • Where is my classroom? (Find Your Classroom)
  • Where can I park? (Parking)

All students taking on-campus courses can have a Student ID issued through Public Safety when they enroll at Northwestern.

You will take your picture and receive your ID card when you attend New Student Orientation. If you miss orientation, you can still apply for an ID card by setting up a personal appointment through Public Safety at 651-631-5310

To apply for an on-campus parking permit, you will want to fill out and submit the application below prior to New Student Orientation:

Parking Permit Application

Application can also be found through these steps:

  1. Sign into theROCK
  2. Choose the "Campus Services" tab
  3. Under "Public Safety" click "Resources"
  4. At the bottom of the page, click on the "Vehicle Registration and Parking Permit" link
  5. Click “New Application”
  6. Fill out the form and click Submit

If you miss orientation, you can apply online and the permit will be mailed to your home address on file.

The permit is valid for the entire length of your degree.
