A candidate must be registered for student teaching to be eligible for the Liability Insurance coverage provided by Northwestern during student teaching.
The teacher candidate is required to register for EDU4835, Seminar in Professional Issues, the same semester as student teaching. Orientation sessions precede the placement start date. Due to liability issues, attendance at all orientation sessions is required before a candidate is permitted to begin the student teaching placement. If the candidate is unable to attend, the student teaching experience will be rescheduled.
