2.03 Registration

A candidate must be registered for student teaching to be eligible for the liability insurance coverage provided by Northwestern during student teaching.

The teacher candidate is required to register for EDU4835, Seminar in Professional Issues, the same semester as student teaching.  Orientation sessions connected to EDU4835 precede the placement start date.  Due to liability issues, attendance at all orientation sessions is required before a candidate is permitted to begin student teaching.  If the candidate is unable to attend orientation, the student teaching experience will be rescheduled.
