This article explains how to release submitted print jobs from printers using follow-me printing and secure print.

What is follow-me printing?

Follow-me printing allows you to submit print jobs to a single virtual print queue for your account and securely recall and release those print jobs on any printer added to uniFLOW. Your print jobs essentially “follow” you to whatever printer you wish to release them from.

What is secure print?

Secure print is the idea that print jobs do not release immediately after clicking “print” from your computer. Instead, they get saved in a virtual queue unique to your account and will only be “released” or printed after you authenticate at the printer with your ID card and choose which saved jobs you want to print.

Releasing print jobs from a printer

  • From any printer connected to uniFLOW, scan your UNW ID card to sign in to the printer.

  • Choose “Secure Print”

  • Any print jobs that you’ve submitted should appear. The display will give a brief overview of the options selected for each job (B/W, Color, Staple, etc.) as well as the cost to print.

  • Select the jobs you would like to release and choose Print jobs.

Tip: Clicking on an individual job will show an edit button next to the Print Job button at the bottom. This allows you to adjust settings of your print job prior to releasing.
