There are several ways to learn more about your host country. The more you know about the cultural environment the easier the transition will be for you.

  • Overseas Student Handbooks by Country – available through the SAFETI: Safety Abroad First Educational Travel Information website: http://www.studentsabroad.com/  
  • Books, Newspapers, Magazines, and the Internet – A lot of great resources exist in paper and web formats and can be of assistance with making the transition during the international experience.

  • Transitions Abroad Magazine is available online at http://www.transitionsabroad.com and has wonderful resources about study, work, travel, and volunteering overseas.
