Server instructions:

1. MATLAB uses LMTOOLS Utility as its license manager
2. Whenever a new version of MATLAB is released a new folder for the version number needs to be made in the location: Program Files>MATLAB
3. You can copy the former version's folder and then get a new license file or update the existing one replacing all version instances.
4. Point to the new license file, lmgrd.exe, and debug log from within the license manager
5. Any time a new license file is obtained the follow two lines with corrected version MUST be placed at the top to avoid Firewall issues

Sign in with email
Select Download without installation option

Client Instructions:

1. Click on the download link at the bottom and download the R20XX (choose the most recent) folder to your computer.
   1. Right click and open as a new tab so you still have access to these instructions
2. Run the installer in the upper right from advanced options, select "I have a File Installation Key"
3. Enter the File Installation Key:
   1. for R2020b: 39139-63897-56382-45679-02762
   2. for R2020a: 61104-12725-04331-53700-65074
   3. for R2019b: 25531-31528-64256-26989-34076 
   4. for R2021b: 31925-60172-43925-15710-05795 
4. Follow the installer until the license path is requested
5. Open file explorer separate from the installer and navigate to the matlab folder for your version (E.g. C: Program Files > Matlab > R2019b)
   1. create a notepad file enter:
      SERVER 10.80.0.36 005056824676 27000
      USE_SERVER
   2. save as network.lic
   3. return to the installer
6. Navigate to the same folder and select the license file you just created.
7. Continue to click through the install process until finish.
