What is the Office of Academic Achievement?
The Office of Academic Achievement strives to equip all UNWSP students for academic success and lifelong learning through quality resources, services, and training.
What services does Academic Achievement provide to all students?
Academic Coaching is designed to connect students with peers in a one-on-one mentoring approach that supports academic success. This academic mentoring relationship is designed to help students become proficient in their use of specific study skills while also building confidence in their own abilities.
Subject tutoring sessions for a variety of subjects are available weekly, either in-person on the UNWSP campus or virtually through Zoom. Students also have the opportunity to request a 1-on-1 subject tutor as well.
The Writing Center supports the students through a variety of student services, including writing tutoring, Editing Competency Exam (ECE) facilitation, test facilitation for make-up exams, and academic accommodations referred by Disability Services.
What services does Academic Achievement provide to qualifying students?
Culture, Language, and Transition
This program is a resource for students transitioning to higher education from a multi-cultural/international setting, providing students with the essential tools that support their transition into UNWSP. CLT encourages students in the academic rigor and cultural adjustment that occurs when entering higher education.
Accommodating students with documented needs associated with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). UNWSP's disability support services are able to provide a broad range of accommodations and resources to qualified students. The purpose of Disability Services is to offer students with unique challenges the support needed to experience full access to the UNWSP community.
