Overview

Learn how to setup your UNW email account on your mobile device. The IT Department highly recommends using the Microsoft Outlook Mobile App for email communication.

Get the Microsoft Outlook App

1. Download the Microsoft Outlook App from Apple App Store or Google play store
   
   
2. Open the Microsoft Outlook app and enter your UNWSP Email Address (@students.unwsp.edu) and tap Continue.
   
   
3. Next enter your password and click sign in. Outlook will be able to automatically detect your email provider and configure your account for you.

Default Mobile Mail App

If you would like to use the default mail application provided with your mobile device. Please use the following documentation.

Android Devices

1. If using UNW Wireless, make sure your device is connected and registered on the network.
   1. To register device, click here.
      
      
2. From the applications menu, select Email or Mail
   
   
3. Tap Exchange or Exchange ActiveSync or Corporate Sync (depending on your version of Android)
   
   
4. Type your email address and password
   1. Students = username@students.unwsp.edu
      
      
5. Tap Next
   1. Your device should find the settings automatically.
   2. If not, tap Manual Setup and enter the following information:
      1. Email:
         1. Students = username@students.unwsp.edu
      2. Password = your account password
      3. Domain/Username:
         1. Students: username@students.unwsp.edu
      4. Server = outlook.office365.com
   1. 1. Port = 443 (you probably won't have to change this)
      2. Security Type = SSL/TLS if possible
         
         
6. Click Next and Select personal email syncing issues
   1. Inbox checking frequency = how often your device will check for emails
   2. Days to sync = how far back you want your emails to go
      
      
7. Give Name for Account (optional), tap Next
   
   
8. Done! You should now be receiving emails on your phone

Apple Devices

1. Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account.
   
   
2.  Once you are under the add account menu, select Microsoft Exchange. 
   
   
   
   
3. Enter your UNWSP Email and Password . 
   1. Students: username@students.unwsp.edu
      
      
      
      
4. Tap Next on the upper-right corner of the screen. Your device will try to find the settings to set up your account.
