10.12b NUR 4318 Synthesis of Care Competency Performance Simulation Assessment (CPSA)

Each student enrolled in NUR 4318 Synthesis of Care Services course is required to demonstrate proficiency in skills and abilities characteristic of a professional nurse generalist through successful completion of a Competency Performance Simulation Assessment (CPSA). Criteria for successful completion of the simulation will be developed based on the program outcomes and BSN graduate competencies. Students who are not successful on the first attempt will have an additional attempt to meet the established benchmark. Unsuccessful completion of the simulations, will result in failure of the course. Competency Performance Simulation Assessments (CPSAs) may be chosen for other NUR courses, at the discretion of course coordinators.
