Begin packing for your International Student Teaching experience. Pack once and then cut the amount in half!
Notify any credit card companies of your travel plans so your account is not frozen due to charges abroad.
Check whether your phone plan allows for international travel and whether there are additional costs.
Confirm all your flights for departure and return from your International Student Teaching experience.
Contact the airline to confirm weight limits and charges for baggage and any safety and security restrictions for airline travel. These are always changing!
Gather important phone numbers and addresses for staying in regular communication.
Organize medications, prescription renewals, and any special medical supplies. Carry a letter from your physician and your prescriptions during travel if necessary. Keep essential medications in your carry-on luggage.
Contact your parent/guardian’s homeowners or rental insurance policy to make sure your laptop, phone, and other possessions are protected from theft while you’re abroad. If they are not, be sure to look into other options.
