The SOE at the University of Northwestern-St. Paul offers a Direct Honors program through Pi Lambda Theta. Founded in 1910, Pi Lambda Theta is an international honor society and professional association in education that honors excellence and fosters leadership skills and intellectual values.  Membership is open to the UNWSP education students who have at least 75 semester credits and the minimum of a 3.65 overall grade point average. Pi Lambda Theta members gain the ongoing value of career development opportunities - web job listings, nation-wide resume distribution service and a network of more than a thousand Thetas to offer assistance in job searching. Grants are available to support research and scholarships to assist in pursuing advanced degrees.
